Updated: Dec 29, 2023

Lavender essential oil has been used in skincare products for centuries and is still one of the most used essential oils due to its incredible, versatile and powerful properties that can be used to treat a variety of ailments.

Variety of benefits.

Lavender is known for its calming properties and is often used in aromatherapy to reduce stress and anxiety. It also has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, making it useful for treating skin irritations and wounds. Additionally, studies have suggested that lavender may have a positive effect on sleep, mood, and cognitive performance and as a natural remedy for anxiety and depression.

How its made.

Lavender essential oil is typically made through steam distillation of the flowers of the lavender plant. The flowers are placed in a still with water, and steam is passed through the plant material to release the essential oil. The oil is then separated from the water and collected. This is the most common and traditional method for producing lavender essential oil.
